Orchestra Project

Each year the LIMF strings participants have the opportunity to participate in the orchestra program offered by the Festival. Towards the second half of the Festival, three days will be dedicated to orchestral rehearsals followed by a final performance in the center of Fivizzano.

Additional orchestral coachings and preparation for the orchestral repertoire will be offered by the faculty members and guest artists, including the BBC Philharmonic Concertmaster, Yuri Torchinsky.

The Festival Orchestra is conducted and managed by The Festival President & Tuscan Opera Ensemble Conductor Andrea Rossi, and in the previous editions he was assisted by guest conductors and guest performers, members of Italian orchestras, including Orchestra della Versilia, Orchestra “Le Metamorfosi” in Rome, Orchestra di Torre del Lago Puccini.

Each year we future the winners of the competition (repertoire on the “Competition Rules” page) and a special symphonic piece. The program will be shared one month prior to the beginning of the Festival.
