Festival Program

The Festival is open for voice, piano, violin, viola, harp and pre-formed chamber music groups.

Festival Program 2021

Pre-formed ensembles will be able to participate as Duos, Trios or Quartets. Ensembles include piano/strings, strings only, piano/voice, harp/strings, harp/voice/strings and piano duo (4 hands).

In addition to the courses and chamber music, other opportunities for study will be offered, including an Italian language course (1 hour per day) and piano accompaniment will be provided for all in-person courses.

Singers, pianists, violinists, violists, cellists and harpists will study with renowned faculty from important institutions in Europe, Asia and United States in private lessons and public masterclasses. Masterclasses will be all streamed online, while online lessons will be privately shared between the faculty member and the student.

Student and faculty concerts will be organized daily in Fivizzano and other stunning locations around Lunigiana. Students will have the possibility to perform as soloists and chamber musicians together with the faculty members. Online concerts will be held as well and be broadcasted in Lunigiana.

Concerto competition

Every participant to the Lunigiana International Music Festival has the opportunity to participate in the competition to perform as a soloist with orchestra (or smaller chamber music group, pending on the COVID-19 measures) during a concert at the end of the Festival, along with numerous concert and recording prize opportunities. Both online and in-person student can participate.

If the COVID-19 measures will allow, Our string players will be invited to perform in the official orchestra of the Lunigiana International Music Festival along with faculty members and the soloists selected during the competition.

Online and in-person lessons on orchestral repertoire will be provided by Metropolitan Opera violist, Nardo Poy.

We came to an end for this edition 2021

Thanks for having participated in the Fourth Edition of the Lunigiana International Music Festival.

Our wish is that you were able to appreciate our artistic offer and the organization behind the events offered by the Festival management. The Festival was the result of a year-long work, made it even more challenging due to the current pandemic situation. Staff and collaborators always considered our guests, young musicians, and the public the main priorities.

How to continue to follow us and contribute to the Festival’s growth?

If you appreciated our offer and you want to contribute to our activities, by offering scholarships and more musical/educational opportunities to our students, please consider donating to the Festival. Any donation count!
