Composers accepted to the program will:
Receive a professional live performance of their chamber work during the Festival.
Collaborate closely with both young musicians and faculty members, working together during rehearsals, the dress rehearsal, and the concert.
Have the opportunity to present either:
a previously composed work, or
a newly written piece to be premiered at the Festival.
Duration: 3–6 minutes
Available Instrumentation: piano; voice (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, bass); violin; viola; cello; flute
Number of Performers: minimum 2, maximum 5 (with up to 2 performers per instrument)
Works must be composed after January 1, 2024.
Works must be unpublished (not yet edited) at the time of submission and performance.
Three scores (PDF only) representing their best work. These may be for any instrumentation and need not be the work intended for performance.

Three audio files (MP3 only) or YouTube links corresponding to the submitted PDFs, in the same order.

A list of works and a résumé.
Instrumentalists accepted to the program will:
Work in close collaboration with Festival composers during rehearsals, the dress rehearsal, and the performance of the new or selected chamber works.
Participate in lessons, coaching sessions, and seminars dedicated to contemporary music.
Work with Lowell Liebermann on his compositions and receive guidance on interpretation and performance practices.
Explore additional contemporary repertoire with the Contemporary Music faculty.
Available Instruments
Instrumentalists must belong to one of the following categories:
piano, voice (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, bass), violin, viola, cello, flute, chamber music ensemble (any from duo to quintet)

The main housing option is the Ostello Degli Agostiniani, in the main center of Fivizzano. The fee is approximately 20/Euro per day and will provide a staying in a shared room (rooms will be divided by gender) with a shared bathroom and breakfast. In case of special needs, other housing options might be provided at a higher fee and information will be shared by email upon request.
Reservation will need to be made by paying the intended fee by the deadline date of the tuition fee second installment (June 5, 2022).
