This program is open to instrumentalists and composers who wants to specialise in contemporary music.

Composers receive a professional, live performance of their chamber work.
Instrumentalists work closely with composers in rehearsals, the dress, and the performance.
 

Composers Will Need to Upload The Following:

  • Three scores (PDFs only) of works that best represent you. They may be for any instrumentation and need not be works that you want to be performed at the festival. Title Format for Score PDFs: LastName-WORK.pdf
  • Three audio files (MP3s only) or links to videos (YouTube) that correspond to the submitted works PDFs in the same order that you uploaded the PDFs. Title Format for Score MP3s: LastName-WORK.mp3

This year we will have many composers as faculty and guests. The list will be updated soon!

What's included

 
Composers who are accepted to the program will have an opportunity to either have a previously-composed work performed at the festival, or a brand-new work premiered at the festival.
  • MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM DURATION: 3-6 minutes
  • AVAILABLE INSTRUMENTATION: piano, voice (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, bass), violin, viola, cello and flute
  • PERFORMERS: minimum of 2, maximum of 5 *up to 2 performers per instrument
  • Pieces should be composed after January 1st, 2010
  • Pieces should not have been published yet
  • 2+ Private Lessons/Sessions

  • Chamber Music Lessons (optional)

Housing & Meals Options

Housing

The main housing option is the Ostello Degli Agostiniani, in the main center of Fivizzano. The fee is approximately 20/Euro per day and will provide a staying in a shared room (rooms will be divided by gender) with a shared bathroom and breakfast. In case of special needs, other housing options might be provided at a higher fee and information will be shared by email upon request.

Reservation will need to be made by paying the intended fee by the deadline date of the tuition fee second installment (June 5, 2022).
