Riccardo Perugini
FIRST PRIZE WINNER
Riccardo Perugini (Montepulciano, 1996) is a young Italian composer already established in the European music scene. His music has been broadcasted and performed for important festivals in collaboration with well-known performers .
He has received several commissions including important associations, festivals, and competitions, such as the Art Biennial in Venice, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina, 2 Agosto Composition Competition, Cantiere Internazionale d’arte di Montepulciano, DUOroboros in collaboration with UFIP, ECHI Festival, by ESTOVEST Festival in Turin in collaboration with Area Sismica, . He also obtained the attention by numerous important teathers including Fondazione Teatro Grande di Brescia on occasion of the 9th Festa dell’opera, Sincronie Festival in Rome, Torinodanza Festival in collaboration with Teatro Stabile di Torino, Nexus Festival, MilanOltre, NEXT ensemble.
His music has also been broadcasted on the main European radios, including Rai radio 3, Rai 5, Radio Cemat, NPO radio 4, Yleisradio Oy.
Multiple prize-winners, he was recognized for his second prize at the Internetional Vocal Espoo Composition Competition 2016 in Helsinki, the honorable mention at the 2 Agosto International Composition Competition 2017 and Uuno Klami Composition Competition 2019 and finalist at the prestigious Alba Rosa Vietor International Composition Competition 2018 (Het Concertgebouw). Members of the jury included Detlev Glanert, Erkki-Sven Tüür, Kalevi Aho, Magnus Lindberg, Olari Elts, Calliope Tsoupaki, Willem Jeths, Tansy Davies.
